SeaWorld Orlando is taking its Halloween festivities to spine-chilling new heights with the introduction of the Howl-O-Sprint 5K, a nocturnal terror run that promises to get your heart racing in more ways than one. Set to debut on Friday, September 13, 2024, this unique event combines the adrenaline rush of a nighttime race with the bone-chilling atmosphere of SeaWorld’s popular Howl-O-Scream festival.
As darkness descends upon the park, 4,000 brave souls will lace up their running shoes for a 5K experience like no other. The race kicks off just before the witching hour at 11:50 PM, after the park has closed to regular guests. Participants will sprint through SeaWorld’s eerily transformed landscape, where lurking shadows and haunting sounds create an immersive Halloween experience that’s sure to quicken the pulse.
But the terror doesn’t end at the finish line. From midnight to 2 AM, runners and a limited number of spectators can revel in a post-race celebration at the exclusive Siren’s Bar. Here, they’ll indulge in devilishly delightful treats and be enthralled by electrifying live entertainment, cementing the Howl-O-Sprint as an unforgettable Halloween experience.
For those with a competitive streak, the event offers awards to the top three overall male and female finishers. All participants will be able to track their finish times with a finish line clock, adding an element of personal challenge to the night of frights.

Participants who register by August 30th are guaranteed to receive a commemorative 100% ring-spun soft cotton unisex t-shirt, a fitting memento of their courageous run through SeaWorld’s terrifying terrain.
It’s important to note that due to the mature content of Howl-O-Scream, including scenes of violence, gore, and blood, the Howl-O-Sprint 5K is recommended for adults only and is not suitable for children.
