A Perfect Treat For A Witchin' Good Time!
Spooky season is upon us, and what better way to get into the spirit than by serving up some finger food… literally! These “Witches’ Fingers” are the perfect ghoulish treat to cast a delicious spell on your Halloween party guests. They’re so eerily realistic, you might just catch yourself saying “I can’t put my finger on why these taste so good!” 🧙♀️👻🎃
Witches’ Fingers
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pre-made pizza dough
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
- 24 sliced almonds
- Red food coloring or tomato paste (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Let the pizza dough come to room temperature, then divide it into 24 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a finger shape, about 4-5 inches long. Pinch one end to form a tapered fingertip.
- Use a knife to make light indentations for knuckles.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and Italian herbs.
- Brush each “finger” with the herbed butter mixture.
- Press a sliced almond onto the tip of each finger to create a creepy fingernail.
- Sprinkle the fingers with grated Parmesan cheese.
- For extra gruesome effect, dab a bit of red food coloring or tomato paste around the almond “nail” to make it look bloody (optional).
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool slightly before serving. These witches’ fingers are best served warm and can be accompanied by marinara sauce for dipping.
Enjoy your spooktacular snack, and don’t forget to cackle while you munch! 🧙♀️🖐️
